About TLC Animal Rescue, PR

Mission Statement:
To provide a safe, caring refuge for animals; to insure quality adoptive homes; To advocate for their welfare through compassion, education, creative solutions and a passion for the human-animal bond.

Vision Statement:
We serve as a model for animal rescues worldwide. Today the relationship between humankind and animals is guided by compassion. Pet overpopulation and animal cruelty is being   reduced through animal welfare legislation, education of responsible pet ownership; rescue, adoption, non-euthanasia and mandatory spay/neuter policies.

TLC Animal Rescue, serving Puerto Rico, and Florida was established in 2008 and is run solely by volunteers through  the generous help of our supporters and their donations.

We are here for the welfare of homeless animals. Our priority is to facilitate the rescue and adoption of stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered animals and to place them into permanent, loving homes. In the interim, we will provide appropriate foster and veterinary care, proper nourishment, and give them plenty of love and attention.

We will support and conduct education and informational activities to increase public awareness of pet overpopulation, increase concern and promote responsibility as well as promote spay and neuter thru education and other activities.

Our team is made up of dedicated animal lovers who are passionate about providing the best care possible to the animals in our care. 

TLC Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c) 3 status. All TLC Animal Rescuers people are volunteers --all monies goes to the care, concern and feeding of the animals and not staff salaries. We will assist in all surrounding areas. We will re-home animals to the surrounding areas as well.

We work tirelessly to ensure that each animal receives the love and attention they deserve.

They make their way to TLCARPR via high kill shelters, or partner rescues in Puerto Rico and a Florida. Regardless of their past, all the animals that are taken under TLCARPR’s care have one thing in common, a second chance!  

Adopting a pet from TLC Animal Rescue, PR is easy! Simply fill out our adoption application, meet with one of our adoption counselors, and then take your new furry friend home. Our adoption fees are affordable and cover the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping.
